Every time I watch Donald O’Connor’s performance, I’m floored.

I’ve never been one to consider dropping out or advocate dropping out,

and i think knowledge is power, and the basis of our democracy is education, and we all need to be educated, blah blah,

but the whole

formal education for 17 + years of your life thing

gets old

after awhile

and it’s always in preparation for something.

I spent all of high school preparing for college,

and now im spending college preparing for a job/med/law/graduate school

and that’s to prepare for another higher job

which is just to make money

to prepare for a family

to prepare to support myself when I’m mad old.

And it’s sad when you frame it like that… but that’s kind of what it is right?

I just feel like I spend a lot of my time on grades and pointless work for grades,

and CV preparation

all for what?

I don’t feel like I’m learning, and there are limits to the new experience I can have on campus,

i felt this way right before getting accepted into college, like I was in limbo

and i thought college would solve that

and for awhile it did

but now I’m just treading water again, wondering if i’ll ever stop preparing for something and just actually do stuff.

damn.

…. yeah.

yeah.

I never felt like I was on that conveyor belt, but I dig you.

but I mean… really. fuck preparation. if all you’re doing is preparing for preparing for preparing, when are you gonna live?

I don’t want to prepare. I want to learn.

friends showed me this last night.

HAWTEST, CHOREOGRAPHY, EVER.

ignore all shots not in the bedroom.

this is the super power I want. Active Camo. Not invisibility. Active Camo.
